~I'm Maple, I’m currently in Park Slope, Brooklyn 🫶 and this is a weekly deal where my friends and I suggest all kinds of things you should try~
Hello! Let’s get to it:
1. These candles shaped like olives & pasta. I’m fully aware that stuff like this is passé and yet I still want to look at it. Never forget the bread candle.
2. Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. I got a demo for the product when I was out at Meta’s Connect conference last week and I think I would actually use these! Here’s why: when traveling, I get so disappointed when something happens that I want to capture, but I can’t get to my phone in time. These, you can just snap whatever you’re looking at as you’re looking at it. It’s also got AI tech built in, so you can ask questions aloud and it answers with a kind of sound tech that allows for only you to hear. Plus they look great. I’m definitely drinking the Kool-Aid on this one, but I was way more impressed than I thought I’d be.
3. Notion. I love project management software so much (organization is hot!), and this one just recently got on my radar. I’m in the beginning stages of building my production company website (!), and the web developer sent me a questionnaire in Notion to fill out about my site goals, etc. I love how pared-down it is (but also powerful). But that said…
4. Your Project Management Software Can’t Save You. An article in Wired written by a guy who used to bartend at my ex’s establishment, whose wedding I attended, and who I still follow on Instagram to applaud his goings-on because he’s a fantastic writer. I love how he thinks.
5. This quote:
“Stay safe. Or fucking don’t, you know what I’m saying?”
